Would appreciate your opinion!

Can anyone give me an opinion of my web site? I made it myself using Joomla. I wanted to keep it clean and simple. http://www.richardhoffkins.com

It's beautiful!

Exactly what you said - clean and simple.

I like the way you handled your galleries.

Great site! Good luck with it!

I really like it. You're right, it is very simple.

Two things I would suggest, though. The first is to make your font a little bigger. Tiny fonts (like this one) aren't exactly hard to read, but they're not pleasant to read either. Second, in your links, you should put a site badge on there so that you can get referral credits.

You've made a good start, but...

What is the purpose of your site? Is it a resume or portfolio site, do you run your own graphic design business, are you selling something, is it just your thoughts on design, a list of your accomplishments? At first glance I can't tell. You need to define what your site is about on the front page. If you are competing with other designers for jobs you will need to slick it up, it is pretty much cookie cutter. It looks more like a blog than a design site. Your home page could be linked to your own examples of your main points. Sorry, but the competition is fierce out there. Do some googling for professional graphic design sites and you will be amazed at what's possible.

To be honest, its simple and clean, but.... to be very honest, site needs more features and good design variation. Well it all depends on what you are trying to project with this site. Well im a great fan of joomla and I'm a web designer myself.

I have few sites designed using joomla, here is some sample

Classified Dubai

Media Vision

PLEASE DO NOT CHECK MY SITE IN IE, IE SUCKS

Well as you are already using joomla, here are some good componenets you can use, Joomstat ( get complete statics of your site )

Joompack ( this one is a must which can take auto backup of the site in case of server failure and very easy to install from back up)

Well let me know if you need some tips about Joomla, write your text herewrite your text here

Thanks everyone for the critique and suggestions to further make my website more appealing. I'm not out trying to promote my design business, I have too much on my plate now with the work. All of my work comes from word of mouth.

Thanks Creativei for the links to the sites that you designed, very professional looking. I will have to look for more features to make my site more professional. I will take you up on the offer if I need tips, thanks!

I would just ad to have links open a new window. The one I clicked led me away from your site.

common practice I always do is always click any link new tab or new window, which can be done by right clicking on the link.
