Hello.

I just found this helpful keyword tool.

You just enter 2 or three simple keywords describing your image, and it will search for images matching the keywords (ordered by popularity). You then just select those images that are most like yours, and it will tell your the 50 most common keywords for those images.

Third party sites that submit images have access to your password. We have already warned about this in the past but we emphasize again: from now on, we will remove all posts containing links to such sites or softwares. We have had serious problems with several accounts lately and we really try to prevent such unpleasant incidents from happening again. Do not share your login details! We STRONGLY recommend that you use only software that you are certain to be 100% safe.

Regarding keywording tools/softs: we advise you to use softs cautiously because they usually result in spam. You must check every keyword produced by such software to make sure that there aren't any irrelevancies to be removed and this will probably take you much longer than coming up with your own 10 keywords (which is the minimum we require).

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me if this site in particular is safe?.

The site dont ask for user names or passwords and don´t need that you submit the image to be keyworded. You only need to enter 2 or 3 keywords that describe your image and then the site do a search in different microstock sites for similar keywords, then you can choose from a list (by checking the selected keywords) the keywords that you want for you. At last the site generate a list of the keywords separated by comas that you can copy and paste to include in the file information of your image.

Thank you very much for your help. Im new in the use of this tools and your answer will be very helpful for me.

Greetings.

Artistar.

Artistar, Carmen actually did answer your question: Regarding keywording tools/softs: we advise you to use softs cautiously because they usually result in spam. We prefer to abstain from further commenting on third-party keywording tools and instead recommend that you learn more about keywording and do it properly yourself (we have a substantial amount of information on the forums and the blogs). The only keywording service which we can guarantee is good and meets our standards is our own KeyMasters program (more about which you can read on the Message Boards - Meet the Keymasters!).

I suspect which site it is, the ads for it are all over. What it does is leeching and scavenging some microsites for keywords of contributors, and charge money for it (it's only free in its basic form). Apart from consuming bandwidth of those sites (included DT) unnecessarily, it makes money from other people's hard keywording work.

Personally, I like to use VisualThesaurus. You can use it online or purchase a CD version. I have the CD version so I don't have to be connected to the internet or pay a subscription. It helps you learn what words and short phrases are related to keywords you enter, and how they are related.

Peter,

I used the same upload software that I have used in the past but my files are not appearing under "unfinished files." The software is Pro ...... master. Has use of that package been disabled?

Or, I have seen several posts about upload problems. Is there a problem?

WarrenP, the software that you are talking about requires your login info. Did you ever find any business address on their site? Where are they located if anything goes wrong, who are they? All they have is a sitemail. I never dared to try them out for that.

As for uploading to multiple sites by FTP, you can very well use Filezilla, a free open source program. You can use the site manager in there and schedule all your files to be uploaded to any site you like, then leave it alone. The advantage is that your login info is saved on your own disk.
