Do you upload additonal format of your photos? Like raw, tiff? Does it help the sales? |

Illustrations, yes. Photos, no.
Why? Because the illustration is the illustration no matter what format you send it in -- I almost always upload the eps after the jpg has been approved -- I consider ai files to be additional. The RAW format is the original neg with nothing done to it -- and I don't like to let those out of my control. |

I do upload RAW with selected images, never images that have been edited to remove logos etc as the RAW file will still contain the logo information. |

Yes I do and Yes it helps. If nothign else, it results in additional sales that you would have missed out on if you did not have the additional format available. Some designers / buyers only look for files with RAW and/or Vector formats. |

that's what I thought. But I've sold only one so far so not sure if that will actually do any good to the sales. |

Never. I agree with Hkuchera.
And I trust Yuri's business feeling. If he doesn't upload raw there should be a reason for that. |

I also upload DNGs instead of the original CR2 files. They sell well, and even though a good portion of the additional format sales are through subscriptions, it is the downloads at regular credits that are worth it. Sold a DNG earlier today and saw a very pleasant jump in my earnings balance. |

How do I upload a raw format of photos that are already on line? How would I associate the raw to the original? What is the process? Am I better off with .dng or CR2? Thanks in advance. |

Go to this page -
Upload file
Under the tab titled "Upload Additonal Format" there is a link to click on titled "Click here to view all accepted extensions" and that is where you will see what is accepted. |

Lindas, I have so far never have a rejected additional format file. I can only see Dreamstime rejecting a file if it has trademark logos or identifiable people that you have deleted out when you submit your jpg file, or if you submited the wrong file to the accepted jpg file.
I doubt it affects your acceptance ratio because you don't improve on it if it gets accepted.
I have stopped uploading raw files mainly because all of the raw files downloaded so far for me have been subscription sales....so it doens't seem to be worth it for me. |
