Maybe this can help you:
How To Reduce EPS File Size?
And maybe you can try this too:
When you start to create a vector file, start with artboard size 600x400px or 800x600px or similar. It helps to reduce the size.
Good luck! |

Did you 'place' or paste any bitmap images like a JPGs or TIFFs in the illustration? Embedded images take up a huge amount of room. The EPS would have to be pretty complex to take up that much room otherwise.

Guys, just a small note:
It is correct to reduce the artboard size to end up with a lighter EPS file.
Remember though, you still need to submit a JPG file, so before you reduce your illustration to fill it in a smaller artboard, it would be in your best interest to export it first to JPEG format in a bigger big size (8Mp would suffice).
Hope it helps. |

I work directly on a small size artboard, faster computer and smaller eps or ai. And I'm not exporting in jpg, I click and I open with photoshop, and there you set the jpg size. |

Well, you should read this article: How to prepare vector illustration for microstock sale, then you will save few minutes/hours/days because you really don't need to open vector graphic in Photoshop to save it as big JPG :) Illustrator is good enough to create it too. |
