I first signed up to DT back in December 2008, it's been 8 months and finally (and FINALLY !!), I have my first sell.
Funny thing is, the photo that was sold, happens to be my first photo that i contributed to DT. believe it not not?
Well i'm happy for now, i just thought i'd share it with you all. |

Hmm, what did you expect with 32 pictures among 6 million.
If you want a lot of sales you need to upload and upload and upload.
No offense meant, but with such a small portfolio it is a miracle that you even sold one.

The first sale is really exciting. I remember being amazed that somebody would want to buy a photo of one of my children but now they are still some of my best models :) |

well...congratulations man but thats kinda strange...only 32 images online and of course you wont get any sales more often then 1 time in 8 month..upload more. |

Thats about the worst reply I've ever have read here.
If you got the right photos in your portfolio, it doesn't matter how big it is. It will sell.
This guy has a smaller portfolio and sold more.

Yup, it's turning out to be the marathon, not the sprint. Then again, it's also about what's in the port - not always about how many.

Yeah I agree that Farang, although he may not have meant to be malicious with his response, was a bit out of line and it sounded curt.
The point is that anyone can sell work, with either 1 image or thousands of images in their portfolio. But naturally, the more you have the more you should sell. |

First sell is such great fun. That is what kept me going.
The funny thing is seems like the pictures I think would not sell are the
ones which do.
