I'm just wondering. Is DT working around the clock viewing contributions, or is it a 9-5 job..

Maybe a silly question, but I was just wondering here up in the north. (Norway)

I dont know for sure as I dont work for them but I would presume they do work 24/7 at least mon-fri. There are inspectors from all over the world on here so when its night somewhere it will be day somewhere else so ppl will always be working.

I think its just mondays to fridays, because on friday I have only like 6 hours left until evaluation. Monday morning its still 6 hours to go.

So yeah, mondays to fridays.

no, there is also reviewing being done on the weekends! You can watch the number of on-line files on the frontpage grow. ;) Less than mo-fr but they work on the weekend :)

Some reviewers are online during the weekend.

I usually am, so feel free to drop a message on one of my images.

Some issues can oly be solved though during business days.

Hope it helps!

I have images sent 4 days ago which now have a longer wait than when first uploaded. At the time of upload the estimated time was 127 hours, four days later it is between 148 and 154. Perhaps it is time to quit DT and go where the time are reasonable.

I think review time here is reasonable. Sometimes they have a very high amount of images to review and so you have to wait a little more... But we always talk about some days max, and meanwhile you can continue uploading...

At least they tell you the review time and sometimes the opposite happens: images start at 68 hours to be reviewed in two days after all. But if your not satisfied with the way DT operates, feel free to leave this wonderful community...

Basically what I am saying is that the time is at best a guestimate. It would be better not to put it there at all. Do as other sites do and just state that it is in the que. With fluctuating times it appears that other later uploads are taking preference. BTW all three of mine are now showing 129 hours. If that was software I had written I would get rid of it.

Well, I quite like the ETR, even if it is not 100% accurate from time to time. Please do not remove it! :)

ETR was extremely accurate a year ago and earlier. It started to be less reliable (still has a decent amount of accuracy) when several changes were done to the pending line for improving review speed and consistency. We could remove it, but even if it's a rough estimated time now it still helps contributors have some sort of guidance. 3-5 days is way better than not knowing anything at all.

Please don't remove it! Fix it instead within the possible!

Funny when DT have something, there are people who complain! If they don't they complain as well!

We have people on the job pretty much 24/7, each one having his/her own schedule, but spread around the world, so, usually, whenever some are sleeping, others are reviewing. Indeed, as Rui said, some issues are solved during business days. Final point is, we all are humans here :)
