We're ready for a new virtual journey and this time we want to sample some of the world's traditional cuisines, from the most popular gourmet delights to simple homemade food. We're anxious to feast our eyes on food that looks yummy, is specific to a country or region, and most importantly, is ready to serve immediately.

Tempt us with some national dishes, typical courses or some of your favorite local mouthwatering specialties and delicacies. We're interested in the final result so the food must be eye-catching and all set for savoring and shooting. Remember that the visual impact is decisive so focus on the food decoration and garnishing, on the setup and general presentation. Fish and chips taste better from a newspaper, the gyros usually goes great with pita, the strudel is fabulous with vanilla sauce, the polenta looks good on a wooden rustic plate, enchiladas can't miss tortillas, the couscous is perfect for meat stew and dim sums are served in a steamer.

The winners of this visual culinary regale will be rewarded with some appetizing prizes: $300 (first place), $200 (second place) and $100 (third place) to spend on delicious looking treats. We'll also send them some Dreamstime branded aprons for a unique appealing looks in the kitchen.

Taste, savor and shoot! Good luck.

Wow! What a creativity provoking contest! Can't wait to see the mouth-watering and palatable contest entries. I hope the illustrators will also surprise us with some savoury eye-candies.

Well, you just have to see the challenge: take apart your kitchen and get that one great shot from out of the microwave while your model removes the steaming plate out of it ;)

Lcro77, re-upload your file as new and choose it from your unfinished files at the appropriate moment. If your file is approved for the assignment, you can disable the old version of it. Good luck!

Just go to the page where you can edit the file-info of that image. On the bottom, you will find a button: disable. This will pull the image from the active database.

Yippee! I've finally got enough images on line to participate. I know what I'll be doing over the next several days. What is the final day for uploads to participate?
