Photographing roman blinds?

Apologies if this is not the right bit of the forum to ask this but hoping someone may be able to advise.

I will be shooting some roman blinds for a friend this week and thinking it is likely to be rather testing from a lighting point of view as the natural light will be streaming through of course. I would prefer to achieve a natural look without flash if at all possible as his blinds are all very nice neutral and natural colours. I will be shooting some all the way down, some half mast and some tied all the way up.

Does anyone have any experience of this? Any tips for good results much appreciated.
