Hello to everyone!

I'm here on DT for about six-seven months, and this month I have became an exclusive photographer with DT. Now I have 100 images online, and acceptance ratio over 50%. So I need you to take a look at some of my images, if you can, and tell me what do you think about my managing of image title/description/keywording task. Can I improve something in that area. Did I understand this task correctly, or I'm doing something wrong. Are my image titles too long? Are my image description too long? Any suggestion will be valuable to me. Thank you all in advance.

I just want to say that my acceptance ratio was 33% when I began, and six months later it is 50%. Last month and this month my accpetance ratio was 76%(by monthly statistics). In last uploaded images I got 20 aprooved and 0 rejected. I think I have learned a lot about photography since I got here on DT based on my rejected images, and I'm very satisfied because of this. And I specialy love about DT is this great community, which is very helpful. I have learned a lot from you guys. Thanks!

Hi, I do not have much experience but in my opinion your portfolio is very good and you just have to wait for sales. Time and continuous uploading are really important. But, anyway, you should wait for the opinions of more experienced DT members. Happy New Year!

Thanks Ewamewa2, I have already learned a lot from this community, and I still have much much to learn. I am aware of that. What I need now, is your opinion am I going the right way for now. Every critique is very welcoming. From image composition, overall sale potencial of my portfolio, through my keywording, image title-ing, etc. Any advice is welcome. I have started with microstock just a few months ago, so I need to know that I'm on the right track :). I do not excpect do earn a lot of money over night...I'm patient, and have a lot of desire to learn :)

Fantastic photography does not always equate to sales in the WORLD OF STOCK.

If you want more sales take off the Fine-Art hat and change gears with various concepts. Don't stop doing what you do, just do more of what you normally don't do. Generic landscapes and architecture, they are subjects well covered in the database, you won't get many sales with those types of images.

Your photos are not "stock", as Wisconsinart mentioned already. I can help you about "how to think like a stock photographer?"

Think about what you see on magazines or on the public boards, on internet etc...what kind of pics are mostly used :) because this is what they buy. Take another look at the pictures in magazines, with a stock photographer's eye :)

I think you have a very nice portfolio, your images of Ephesus are already selling and you have some good stock photos like the hot coffee, the footprints, etc..., I wouldnt say you are that much into art photography, it seems like you´ve been worried about what sells, I think you are on the right path,

Congrats on your first 100 images,

Thank you for your comment Afagundes.

Yes, my images from Turkey sells very well. I have sold 21 image until today, and 10 of them are sold in this month :).

Since I'm here from July 2011, this is my best month so far. Everything just got better when I have past 100 images online...now sales are coming more often then first few months.

I can't wait this winter to be over, so I can shoot more and upload more images. I hope that I will achieve at least 500 images online until end of 2012.

Your photos are lovely : )
I agree with what everyone has said, greatphotos don't always equal sales. One thing that may work is a little self promotion. Talk about your photos, how you got them, where etc. to get more attention to your work. Twitter can also be helpful here if you have an account. Don't be afraid to self-promote a little.

Surely I'm not the right person to criticize, because I have a low percentage of sales. Your portfolio is beautiful and becomes universal.
As writes Parkinsonsniper - Think about what you see on magazines and continue working. I think you're going a good way.

Good luck and have good light :-)
