Out of curiosity I clicked today the language button DE. With funny results... and annoying results. Some of the translations are soooo wrong... and irritating (mature translated as 'Reifen', which means 'tyre', as one example).... and I guess, that goes for the other languages, too.
I hope the German users have enough English language skills to search for the proper English keywords, otherwise some of my images will be lost in No Man's Land :->

@Anke: yep, you are right, but it is not charming when we talk about a woman :-> It's 'eine reife Frau', one letter can make the difference.
But it is also probably nothing to be worried about. The pictures are selling well at the moment. Just wanted to share it.

Robert, if you are referring to the image info translations, then these are made by automatic systems. It is impossible to handle the translations of thousands of images on a daily basis without using a translating software. It cannot be done otherwise and we are aware some translations may sound clumsy. We have used the best software available and we are still looking for solutions to optimize. Since we have almost 13 million images online at this point, it takes a lot of time to have the translation done even automatically.
The site pages and general info have also been translated using automatic systems but we have had native speakers correcting these translations as well. For any such translations that sound funny or incorrect, please use the Report translation tool available on all site pages in other languages. |

Thanks for your time and the detailed response, Tangie. I might use the Report Tool, if I come across some really weird translations.
Best regards

Today I switched to Polish. What I saw was funny (eg photo with the guy holding the fish in keywords have the word "penis" instead of the rod), but at the same time very difficult. Finding photos is virtually impossible. Perhaps the solution would be, however, no translation of keywords, titles and descriptions? Best Regards Farek |
