They're chubby, fluffy, hyperactive, curious, adorable, playful, they're the cutest photo subjects you've ever seen. Because they're candid and expressive, you'll always have plenty of opportunities to capture special moments. Not to mention they get along quite well together. Plus, most of us already have them at hand. We're done, your turn now: bring children and pets in front of the camera and let them play. We're having a children with pets contest this month.

Before you start, here are some tips: always have toys and treats at hand to which you add plenty of patience. Both children and pets have unpredictable reactions when photographed but they're also easy to entertain and eager to participate. Don't take plain portrait shots, let the children be children and the pets be pets. Let them interact. Children and pets are best friends, they have a lot of fun together so we want to see that. You'll see children and pets snuggle, chew toys, share an icecream, abuse the backyard sprinkler, get food all over their faces, take a nap, run wild around the house, aim for the first mud puddle. They are genuine so we think they look better in real-life settings rather than white background studios. You can't get all pets jump up and down with your kids but you can always wait for a unique facial expression, keep an eye on the gentle pat or affectionate hug. Favorite pets include dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, hamsters, goats, lizards, horses, frogs, chickens, sheep, ferrets but any other animals your children love and keep around are welcome.

Best children with pets images will be rewarded with $300 for the first place, $200 for the second place and $100 for the third place. The winners will also get our Dreamstime branded t-shirts which fit children and pets in small sizes.

Good luck and have fun!

Great subject? Just for clarification, does a teenager qualify as a "child" for this assignment?
etc. Favorite lens - Canon 24-70 F2.8L....

Why it takes so long time for review photos for this assignment? I;ve uploaded 2 photos since 12.03.2012.

I'm still waiting too.
Can't see any ETR so I hope it will be reviewed in time.
So for those who want to upload for the assignment: hurry up or maybe you'll be too late.
Busy times for reviewers I guess.

So am I to assume since I uploaded the photo just a few days ago it will not be reviewed on time? So I can not enter the contest?

Hmmm...you would think they would have a cutoff time/date to upload and not just keep us guessing...or perhaps I am missing something?

I guess all we can hope for is that an ADMIN sees this thread and gives us an answer.....if not I am sure we will be finding out the answer soon enough. ;-)

Lcro,
I contacted support 2 days ago. Let's see if they'll reply in time. I think they are very busy.
Image is still pending without ETR. Yours too?
Also wondering why no admin left a reply over here.
