The DreamsTime Bucket List

Wisconsinart
We lost power at work today so I was bored. Tried to come up with a list of possible events and milestones you could experience at DT. Not all of them are desirable, but... in no particular order...

1. Your first accepted image
2. First sale
3. An extended license sale
4. A TIFF sale
5. Additional format request
6. Additional format sale
7. An accepted Assignment image
8. Refund (Grr!)
9. Assignment image placing in top three
10. Making it to a $$$ cashout $$$
11. Sell the rights sale
12. Being a featured contributor
13. Having an image reach level 5
14. Being a favorite photographer for someone
15. Flagged for spam
16. Image selected for a collection
17. Getting a sale from a Buyer Request

And... of course: Having an image rejected (Grr!)

I would add the Levels Grand Slam. That's when you get 6 consecutive sales of images starting from level 0 and going to level 5. I made couple of slams before the level changes, I don't have level 0 images anymore.

And also : fast sale of an editorial, so that it can be featured on the first page.

What, Wisconsinart has seen refusals? or was it the other way? :) I thought your images don't get reviewed, they actually review editors. :))

How does one become a featured contributor? Portfolio size? Number of sales? Downloads per image ratio? Number of years as a contributor? Exclusive contributor? I seemed to meet if not exceed the current featured contributor, http://www.dreamstime.com/Mikephotos_info, in terms of statistics but yet to be featured :-(. The current featured contributor has a great portfolio, don't get me wrong. I just wanted some enlightenment to how to reach this specific milestone. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

I could be wrong but I never remember seeing a featured contributor that didnt have at least 1 editors choice files, maybe that why, because your portfolio is indeed impressive

Thanks for the info Debra and your gracious comments. Possibly you are right since I don't have an editor's choice photo yet. Cheers.
