Thanks to Tridgers for providing tips on doing a reverse Google search to find where our images are being used online. So I set out to do a search for some of my more frequently downloaded images and here is a couple of my findings. :)

Law Library (ID 9490139)

http://andersonandersonpc.com

Saints (ID 6140306)

http://vaticanvisits.com

BTW, just wondering (and not referring to the two sites above), but if a website uses an image that still has "Dreamstime.com" on the lower right corner, does that mean the person hadn't paid for the image?

Joe

Yes, unfortunately it does and if you look closely you can see the DT logo in the centre of your pics too. I have seen loads of my pics used in the same way but I just don't have the time or the inclination to do anything about it, as fast as you get people to take images down new ones will pop up and so it goes on.

If you are a full time professional making mega bucks it may be worth employing someone to spend their day finding all the images used illegally but for the rest of us its very time consuming and I suppose at the end of the day its up to the individual to decide if its worth chasing these people or to just let it go. It would be a different matter (for me any way) if someone had one of my images without a logo and were using it for example on print on demand products without the correct licence fee being paid.

Thanks, Roughcolli for confirming my suspicion. I agree that there's not much we can do as it's quite time consuming to investigate each website that has used my images. I agree with you that print or demand products is a different matter.

Joe, you can use the contact us link on both sites and tell them they should purchase a royalty free license here at DT and you can fullfill the form of DT

In both cases it seems like legit businesses, probably hired someone to do their websites and didnt know (or didnt care) about copyright issues. The law firm for sure will listen to you.

Hi Afagundes, thanks.

I think the two websites that I referenced above are fine as I can't see any "Dreamstime.com" logo on those images. I was just referring to other sites that I came across while I was doing the search. That's why I was wondering.
