it says:

0-99 downloads - level 1 - 1 credit ~ $3

100-499 downloads - level 2 - 3 credit ~ $3

more than 500 downloads - level 3 - 5 credit ~ $3

As best I can tell, though, only level 2 is roughly $3 based on the pricing of credits, which appear to be from roughly $0.80 through $0.90 , depending upon the quantity that you purchase.

Is the ~ $3 a typo?

There was a typo. It appeared when we increased the instant buy. This didn't affected "real" transaction was just a typing error on that table.

Basically the system goes like this: One credit costs 1$ (some discounts apply for high packages, see the buy credits table).

For each download a user makes we deduct 1 credit from his account (if the image has less than 99 downloads) or 3 credits (for 100-499 downloads) or 5 credits (for more than 500 downloads).

For each sale the photographer receives 50%, the discounts are entirely supported by us.
