Foggers and Smoke Machines

Wisconsinart
So I'm doing a little homework and looking at work of other photographers and find some great images with smoke.

Quick internet search and I'm finding smoke machines and foggers starting for under $30. The expensive models probably have greater output for longer periods of time. No problem, I have a small space and don't need to run a fogger for a three hour party.

I think I will get one but would like to see what others have to say. I am curious regarding water-based and oil-based models. Without knowing anything, I would think water-based is better, I don't want to be washing a layer of oil off everything every two months.

Thanks for any information from those more experienced than I.

I agree about getting a water base. Got a link?
