I am not admin, but you have to email them to request a change to your user name.

I'm afraid mud sticks, so it could be difficult in your case. I'm just kidding. :)

You can't do it by yourself, you should email a request to support.

Anyway, what do you think is wrong with your username?

well i picked that name when i was just signing as a buyer. Then i decided to start shooting photos, and now I'd like to start shooting lots of different models and actually start turning this into a real part-time business. So I'm thinking a more professional name would actuallu sound better. I guess it probably doesn't really matter, the guy with the "monkey business" name does quite well :)

I think a good name is a good start, something you can be known for and recognized in other places like forums, facebook, your webpage, etc.

i just researched one top stock photographer (because he has been in the news lately) and his first 200 photos were really total crap. And now he has 11000 and they are some of the best you'll ever see. There is hope for me after all ! I just ordered a book titled "Taking Stock" which is supposed to be 264 pages of nothing but stock photography business. Can't wait till it gets here, i'm starting to get excited now. Made $3.58 this month :)

If you want really really bad to change your username we can change it if you email us, BUT, there is a but, your username is catchy, is already known to buyers, it is indexed in searches, it propagated over the Internet. We advise you pretty strongly against changing it as you would be losing a lot doing so.

Hi, there,

how to understand pending time? It looks that time does not run, yesterday and today same hours to wait. Is it possible? Maybe I did something wrong?

@Vasara Don't look at pending time, it will drive u insane.

Back on topic. It sounds similar to a profanity, e.g. "Now let me take a look at that mudplucker's port". It's certainly memorable though and I do like it. How about Imageplucker? Any other suggestions?

Thank you for answer. And sorry for interrupting your discussion, didn't find where to ask.

Parkinsonsniper - my interpretation of your user name is that Parkinson is your surname & you used to be a sniper in the army..........probably very far from the truth! ;-)

Mudplucker - yep, agree that it sounds a little like a profanity, but at the same time it is memorable so I'm with Nikitu on not changing it.

Mine was pratik2440new something like that, completely irrelevant and crazy. Maybe because i never expected to have any file approved. So I changed it to match a few other usernames over other places I might use some day.
I'm with Nikitu here. Mudplucker, you have created numerous posts and other stuff by your name. Your name is memorable too. Do not write for a change. I still find my file thumbnails over the internet which lead to my old profile and it shows as a broken link. Good loss of customers on older files. Don't do it. If you were ilp65628 or photos567898, then a change would have been good.

okay, I'll stick with Mudplucker and the the new high quality photos with models do the talking :) I'm not totally there yet but i am getting so darn close. The addition of off-camera flashes has made such a huge difference because now i can dictate to my camera what the shutter and ISO and aperture will be without the amount of available light telling me what to do :) I still am unsure how some of these photographers get the great indoor lighting scenes but i am still working on it...

Parkinson: I almost asked you once if you were a sniper in the military at one time because of your name :)
