Could I have some feedback on my latest uploads please (the digitally drawn ones). Be it style, colors, strength of concepts etc.

Regarding color, I prefer those with pastel tones, although I'm a little worried that they might be overlooked in the results for not being BOLD enough...

Nothing but fantastic.

What I would suggest is to think of concepts with greater potential for sales.

If I were to open a brochure or visit a web site I could see your style of art being used. What ideas could you come up with for senior living, hospice, medical, family planning, or parenting?

Yes, you have the baby amd stork but what is a concept that is original, fresh, and unique? Originality means no competition!

160 views and just a single response..?

Thanks for your comments wisconsinart. Although I'm not new to illustration, I'm very new to the 'stock' sector. When I was illustrating books, I would just follow the narrative and draw from my imagination, but as I haven't got a script, I'm struggling to think of scenarios I can draw.

Perhaps focusing on a single sector/scenario at a time as you've listed, rather than trying to draw one-offs (including over-done concepts/cliches) would be a better approach...

I love your work, beautiful illustrations. I did find myself while looking through your profile, that I was more drawn to your images that have the bold colors, and my eyes just seem to glance over the pastel colored images. However, I do love all your work. :)
Good luck!

Great work, they look very natural and your perspective drawing is powered with harmonic colors. Don't care about the views, they mean nothing (!)

In terms of color, maybe you can just pop the main subject's colors, it will draw the attention to it. I don't say I don't like the colors, I loved them, but you know, we are not kids and they don't think the way we do :)

So many views and no opinions means new guys like me are reading the post often and noting all the good advice meant for you. ;)
I can't really say much about it, but please always ask someone about what they think. I often make something that looks bad to me but looks good to others. I recently had a sale that made me squint my eyes and look at the photo 2-3 times thinking "What?! Someone bought THIS?"

Read about colours and what they stand for. Articles on use of colors in advertising and marketing will help you attract people via your images. You can find out what colors bring out what feelings in people in general and make images with those dominant colors. I love those illustrations. I'm yet to explore that side. I will soon and ask for a critique then. I only do realistic illustrations at the moment.

Beautiful images and I love you choice of colours. I'm actually very shocked by how few sales you have with such a good port.
