I have had files waiting since 04.04.2013, more than a week for a few files and this seems to be the norm now for me? Is there a reason please?

Most of the time it takes mine atleast 10 days sometimes more, sometimes less. But averages about 10 days.

Never used to take so long, I wonder if it depends on quantity?

The waiting time for review is longer because the pending line is longer. Please be patient and keep uploading.

There are 110,057 pending images right now, so i guess the editors have their hands full.

Why not hiring more editors?

Also, your rejection and sales rates impact your wait time, unless something changed. If so, I stand corrected. :-)

If I remember right the admin have said before that images are reviewed in the order that they are submitted. No preferential treatment is given to acceptance ratio, upload volume or sales.

A lot of former exclusive members have left another site and are uploading their portfolios to Dreamstime. It only makes sense that there would be a large influx of new images right now as these members get their existing ports online. I am sure the queue will settle back down.

In the meantime, enjoy the thought of all the additional buyers who are likely to follow those former exclusives over here :)

Good point Lisafx! I had noticed the slow down but hadn't put two and two together. I am looking forward to our new community members!

Please, can you point to some of them? Latest photographers list is without motion or there are some beginners weekly. Where can we see these new big portfolios? They must have another style images, different from DT!

well all those new portfolios shouldnt get preference over regulars here who are exclusive. Sales have really gone down this year whatever spin they put on it. if I compare the last two Aprils to this April its ridiculous how the sales have dropped. also all my sales are now subscrintion sales. im uploading but wondering!

Strange Bigpressphoto, my sales are up some 25% compared to last year's

Back to the OP's, dont worry about the line, the editors always find a way to get it all back to normal, just be patient.

I'm pretty sure that they aren't getting preferential treatment but there are some really talented photographers abandoning ship over there and we will all have to compete with their talent.

I happen to be one of those former exclusive members, returning to DT where I uploaded back in 2008. ;)

I currently have 175 photos on-line here, with another 119 in the queue for now. I can guarantee you, I am getting no preferential treatment as far as inspection times go. The current batch was submitted seven days ago and the ETA is still 72 hours.

Bigpressphoto and Afagundes, I can assure you the randomness of up and down is consistent across the agencies. I talk with several friends submitting to different agencies and their explanations sound like the two of yours.

As for wait times, I typically don't even pay attention. I upload to the queue and get back to working, be it stock photos or another project. I got an e-mail Wed. about two photos being accepted and was surprised... I'd forgotten I even uploaded those two! :P

Nice, but it was 5 years ago, and 175 images are not too much... Lisafx did not answer my question, but maybe you know some from this lot of exclusives who left another site this year, uploaded their really big portfolios to Dreamstime and (as Lisafx think) made this long pending line? Only some usernames, please!
