hello to all
I participate in DT for about 2 years, I uploaded about 1000 photos but the number of sales, compared to other sites of MS is very low and I can not figure out the reason for this thing.
maybe I do not do something that can help me to increase my sales?
can someone help me?!

How does the amount of money you've earned compare to the other sites? If you have fewer sales, but the total amount you make is the same then there's no problem.

I don't know about other agencies, because I almost never contributed to any agency other then DT. But I know a little about DT's dynamics, so I write specificly for DT.

Taking a quick look at your portfolio, the very first thing I see is;you have lots of editorial volleyball and hockey photos. These won't grant you much sales.

One more thing is;

Many of your pictures are versions of others. I mean, they are shot from a little different angle, closer or further. A buyer will buy only 1 or 2 of those versions. So, these duplicates make your portfolio look fat, but in fact you don't have 1391 different photos. I think this is why admins always scream us to "diversify" our ports :))

Finally, what you don't do to increase your sales is written here on the forum, under your username :) (8 posts) you should be active in the forums, answering questions, writing blogs, commenting and discussing about stuff. These will bring you some exposure and thus sales :)

hello and thanks for the advice
I'll try to participate in the forum post, although my free time is occupied with the photographs.
However, if this can serve to increase my sales ... I'll try to attend.
I thank you also for having looked at my portfolio and I will try to improve the diversity of my photographs.
thank you!

I heard that to increase sales of DT you must be active on the forum, more you write and post and more your portfolio has visibility. Is it true?

Not quite, I have statistics with me this time :)

If you want to increase your sells then be original, creative and diversify your portfolio.

Hi Bruno Rosa,

I think your portfolio has a bit of everything and its quite bright, seems very fine to me.

Maybe what is missing is what Parkinsonsniper, participating more in the forums, I would also suggest increasing your exposure by adding a link to your portfolio wherever you are in the web,

Facebook, Google+, in your email signature, everywhere.

Hi all,
I am a DT contributor since November 2010. So far I have not participated much discussion within the community, but I want to start. I was afraid that my English is not so good, but I'll try it. Sorry for any errors that occur :-)

Congratulations,Parkinsonsniper!!I'm really glad that you are now an admin!I think it should be admin and Wisconsinart....
Hi,Bruno!I don't want to disappoint you but I'm not so sure that participation in forums and blog would increase sales, just as I'm not sure that Facebook, Google+ or Twitter help much..(look at me,I have 691of likes on Facebook and only 60 sold...)look carefully and you'll find on DT contributors who almost no participate in forums or blog and yet have many sales.Maybe Wisconsinart is right. You read his blog?Look here:How To Gain "Exposure" and It's Not What You Think! .Maybe is not right....time and number of sales will confirm or not...:).It's still good to be optimistic and think positive to be successful.Perhaps many of us are here for the passion more than money.Be creative and keep uploading!Anyway I wish you good luck in sales!More sales!Cheers!:-)
