I've just uploaded some photos made with a mobile phone (Nokia N79, 5 MP camera, Karl Zeiss Tessar 2.8/5.4).
Anyone here with experience uploading photos made with mobile devices? Rejected/approved ratio? Thanks.

Are mobile photos THAT good? Surprising. I shot a photo of my cousin in the evening and the noise and detail was so horrible that she still believes it is the silhouette of a monkey.
I agreed with her. She's a teen girl. I love my life more than my shot.

But I don't have that good a phone I guess.

I hate to say it, but my current phone camera is more megapixels than my original DSLR! It takes pretty darn good pictures too. I can even adjust the white balance. The only thing that isn't that great is the noise with low light images, like Robinstockphotos said.

I don't know if I could bring myself to submit them, but if they sell, why not???

I'm curious to see if the photos get approved! Good luck!

There is a category for mobile phone photography in the drop-down categories list when keywording your submissions. If you choose this in your categories and add a note to the reviewer it will be reviewed for that specific genre.

Be careful. otherwise you will be penaltied or even completely annihilated by Canon who produces L-series lenses and all these fu...ng 5d Mark III bodies and sells them to stupid people who are ready to pay horrible money for all this. These stupid photographers just don't know that even better quality images could be done just with any Nokia mobile phone.

Please, PLEASE, P L E A S E keep your knowlege in as great secret as you only are able. Otherwise I would have to worry about your life.

Hopefully, Their Majesty Our Great Dorian King Alvera The First With Half will be able to rescue you. But I'm not quite sure about this.

I'm out. Will spend some months in the Andromeda Galaxy (M31, NGC 224). After reading your post I know too much to be safe here.

I will remember, thanks Lenuta.
Till then, look how easy is to make money: go in a restaurant, put your iphone on a table (the best ever anti-shaking solution) and shoot. This is a level 4, 13 downloads image. Not mine, of course :)

If the images are good (technically speaking: sharp, as little noise as possible, no distortions), then they are accepted.
My personal trick, downsize to 3 MPX, it will smooth out imperfection and make it crisp clear, but do keep in mind, to have a good photo you have to have good technique when you shoot it, yes, even on a mobile phone.

Oh, poor girl! So, you will have to work with DSLR cameras forever. Thinking of depth of field, chromatic aberrations, composition, sharpness and all these damned things that are not important in this word, anymore...

Here, at the Andromeda Galaxy (I am trying to rescue myself here) they never knew what is DSLR. Instead, everyone has 540 Megapixels Nokia's.

And they all are shooting and shooting and shooting... All the time. Having only a short rest to buy 1200-MP Nokia.

Then, they downsize their images down to 3MP and send them to DT. Acceptance ratio (averaged over the whole Galaxy except for regions G541 and HtR-676 - civil war there, they have to limit themselves by 100 MP and downsizing is forbidden) is 131.56% and permanently grows. There are no reasons for rejection. E.g., nobody of editors could reject such an image writing 'out of focus' since there is no focus, at all, and consequently, it is impossible to be out of it. The same with composition and noises.

Everybody is happy here (including me, though I use Samsung). :)

At the moment local Paliament is consideribg a project to import some amount of full frame Nikon and Canon DSLRs because they need some cheap and simple-to-use equipment to call to each other and speak.

Now, could you be so kind to pass my short encripted and COMPLETELY SECRET message to Their Majesty? Thanks in advance.

Excuse me, Your Majesty, there is a misprintings there. You should read 'asses' instead of 'lasses' and 'lasses' instead of 'classes'. The rest is correct. Next report will follow soon, not later than yesterday.

Igor, you are quoting yourself and replying to your own messages before you write them, there is a huge time anomaly in regions G541 and HtR-676, please teleport back ASAP. Over.
