Ciao Stefania.

First of all, 2 sales after only 3 months on DT is a good enough result and you have no reasons to worry about that. My numbers were close to yours after my first 3 months.

Secondly, your images are nice but some lack of diversity is clearly seen yn your portfolio. Your land- and cityscapes (which dominates in your PF) are beautiful but these are subjects which do not sell well in microstock world. I think that you should try to shoot some other subjects (the more the better) choosing ones which have a good potencial for selling. Using DT search engine you can easily determine what are these subjects and what of them are interesting for you and what of them you are able to try.

I wish you best of luck. Buona fortuna!

Think P!
Patience, it takes a while to get noticed People, images with people or parts of people seem to do best. Perspective, use a different angle to give umph. I particularly like your dancing feet image and your avatar. Keep at it I'm sure you'll do well.

I would like to add that your low approval rate affects your visibility. Next or little more than 50 views are not a lot. Also it takes around 6 months uploading for new images to start selling faster.

good morning! I understand your frustration, but you have to look at the big picture here. with a very small portfolio, you are a needle in a very large haystack. buyers have to find you first, and you need images that can be used for more then just a landscape travel photo.
I see lovely images, but they have only a few uses. look on DT at the top 100 images and see what is selling. then take photos that have more of a concept then just a pretty travel photo. most of all, build up your portfolio! I did not have sales until I had at least 200 images and I still don't have a lot!

Like everyone pointed out, Rome wasn't built in a day. It takes time, patience and a good understanding of what buyers want to be successful. Don't worry about low sales, they will come. If you are very stressed out, do some research and look to see what is selling on here. It pays to be well informed:) Good luck and many sales in the future!

Mystery, how pictures you spend time thinking, planing and shooting does not sell well and something simple with minimum effort is best seller:) I have no sales on some pictures, but when I let the free I had 60 dowloads on one of them...few thoughts, keep up :)

yah, i had 30% or so approval rate for the first many months and only a handful of sales. Have managed to bring that 30% up to 65% now. Took forever. That 30% in the beginning really hurt me. I'm certain AR is built into the search algorithm. You need to protect it.
I also firmly believe that it takes time for images to get seen, so patience is a virtue and a must in the beginning.
Just keep uploading, uploading, uploading to build the portfolio but make sure you send only the best so you don't knock down the AR.
Diversity is also very important as Igor states.
My monthly downloads aren't anywhere near the top of the heap but I did notice (for me) it took almost 6 to 8 months before started getting what I considered to be pleasing sales. I almost gave up several times and threw my camera against the wall. Glad I didn't. Sticking with it eventually allowed me to purchase a couple of lenses and a new camera.
If you clik it, they will come.
Good luck!

Keep uploading continuously, be patient, and maybe try more diversity in your pictures (although that point is debatable; some people might think it is better to concentrate on on subject and get better and better on that one subject). Good luck! BTW, I really like your boat picture!

Don't worry about your sales they will come at this time it is more important to get images online. 40% approval is good for a newby.
Have a look at the site and see where you can find a niche and shoot for that niche if you can.
Again most important thing keep shooting and be very critical of your shots before you submit them.
This business is about quantity and diversity.
Best of luck

Personally I am uploading images here from about 2 years. I uploaded more than 38 photos in the last 4 months (I think about 60). But I have only 2 images sold inside this stock. I think this depends about the minor visibility that youngest images have in DT respect to the older ones (that have also an higer level). Probably in DT is necessary to wait more respect other stock agencies. But the advantage is that when images start to sell they often are sold (in credits) with higer revenue respect to other sites.
So we must wait some years to make these evaluations...
As already said the diversity of themes inside a portfolio is very important.
For landscapes do not upload only daylight images but night images too.
Upload images of details. Upload concepts images. Upload editorial images with people. etc.

You are doing nothing wrong. Stock photography is a numbers game. The more images that you have listed the more sells that you will make. It's that simple. Just keep shooting and uploading and the sells will come.
Best of luck.

On other sites I sell with perhaps two views here I have images with 70 views and no sales. I am not sure if all views are equal across agencies.
