As DT urge us on to that momentous 20 million mark I wonder what will happen to our sales beyond that. The more images and the more contributors there are, I think our individual percentage of sales will diminish. Ideally we would get more buyers too but as technology advances I wonder if more people will be using their own images?
Perhaps we need to be stricter with those unsold images. Some ( even brilliant )photographers have hundreds cluttering up the site. Would deleting images over three years old rather than four be a better idea?
Perhaps too we need Admin to be stricter about key words so that we don't lose buyers who become irritated by blatant wrong keywording and even wrong info about the subject.
What do others think?

Unsold pictures are deleted or go to the free section after 2 years already. I think this should not be changed!

Every cloud is different so it will take thousands of photographers thousands of years to capture all of them. And that's just clouds.

Sorry, was telling something wrong. You are right Heathse it's after 4 years that unsold pics are deleted. I could not find this information imidiatly and did some research. http://www.dreamstime.com/thread_34234 gives more information.
How about being more selective with accepting new contributors? Many big agencies have a kind of test...

I have a better idea. They should delete the successful level 4 and level 5 photos, those already sold enough. Why not give some opportunity to those level 0 and level 1 photos?
Just kidding,

Keywording for sure. I clicked on the search used to find a recent sale (astronaut) and, guess what, 130 out of 200 had no actual astronaut - I mean, that's pretty boolean right?

That's my goal next year!!! :)

Eventually though I do believe that the amount of time that it takes for an image to be deleted or moved to free will likely be reduced from 4 years to probably 3 years. I don't think I would be apposed to that either.
