New redesign: Upload Section

We've recently redesigned our Upload section and now is ON.

The new design and features are meant to help you upload your images in the easiest and fastest possible way, especially for biggest volumes.

On the first impression you may find it difficult, but that's because you are so used to the old version. We've made lots of tests and not only that it's quicker and faster, but it really saves time.

You're all invited to try it and we're waiting for your feedback as it's the most important to us.

Thank you, guys!

I have just uploaded a few images and found the new design good. It was quicker, probably selection of categories. I can see that it will be a lot quicker when we are submitting many similar images as the wording stays unless deleted. Thanks.

My feedback: I do keywording on a landscape screen. On the new design I must scroll up and down to see the image and write keywords. This is my stile, I am looking at the image and thinking what keywords are good. The old design, with the image in left and input on right was better for me.

Look, the right half is full of informations usefull only for new contributors:
Right half of the interface

The Categories section is ok, much better than previous.

I want to leave here my thanks and my congratulations to DT developers and designers. Thanks also for adding the suggestion I have suggested adding the next/previous image (to skip), really useful. Nice look, easy to understand for newbies and so on.

The only suggestion would be on the tab "Unfinished upload" that it just shows 10 images, and it would have a dropdown list to chose between 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 100 per page.

On Chrome some fields are messing and floating (showing over) on the dropdown list or over property releases and so on.

On the unfinished page just hover your mouse anywhere over the thumbnail or image info and a trashcan appears top left of the image. Or once you have selected an image and you are on the image details screen you should see a trashcan bottom right, also a skip feature if you wanted to leave an image in unfinished and work on others.

Love it - but don't see the option to copy (categories, keywords, etc) from another image anymore?

Never mind - I now see it on the right panel .... called Autopopulate

Don't know if this is coincidence or not, but uploads are lightening fast!

OK... that works... but... it also doesn't work for all cases...

When I upload images for an assignment, I upload it again so that it can work its way through the queue to submit as a regular image and save time in case the assignment image is rejected.

If the assignment is accepted, I will delete the second instance still in the queue.

So... I have three images that were deleted back in January but they are showing up in the unfinished section. They are marked as having some kind of issue and they need to be uploaded again.

The images don't exist because they were already deleted but the software still sees them somehow and the trash can doesn't show up.

When I click "Add Files" and select an image nothing happens except the "Start Upload" button lights up but nothing shows in the window. So I figure, well maybe it is queued and I just cant see it so I click "Start Upload". Nothing seems to happen and a few seconds later I get a 500 Internal Server error. Dragging files from Windows Explorer to the "Drop Files Here" window just opens the picture in Internet Explorer.

There is a button "Hide errors" in the Unfinished files. That should solve your problem.

Try it and let us know if it worked :)

Thank you all for the feedback, we really appreciate it.

I really liked this new design. This tab thing makes uploading and editing easier. Also it was my wish to get a larger view when we hover over a image in the unfinished and pending files and now I am happy to see this improvement.
I am facing a little problem in the unfinished files section the 'Commercial' and 'Editorial' buttons are not working for me. They are unclickable.

I'm in the same boat as Vcarmstrong. Nothing happens. Drag the files in, they show up in internet explorer. Can't group upload, can't single upload. Clicked on hide errors as suggested, nothing happens. Probably will be great, sometime.
