Hi guys,

We have great news to share with you. Lately we have been working hard to launch Dreamstime WordPress Plugin, specially designed for a faster and easier blogging experience. You can now illustrate your blog posts finding images quickly and insert them automatically.

Our Plugin will help you choose from our 22 million images ready to be inserted in your blog posts. You can download directly from Dreamstime's database of free and commercial Royalty Free images.

It saves time and you get to be the first to publish your own news!

It's now up and running and we invite you to try it and also to send us your feedback.

Try it here.

What do you think?

Do the bloggers pay for the use of the image? I really do not want the same scenario the "other" site has implemented. Can I opt out if my images are being given out for free?

Like Wisconsinart I would also like to know if we get paid for images downloaded within this plugin.

Guys, the images are not given for free. They will be downloaded/purchased as usual, only that they will be inserted more quickly in the blog posts. It's a feature that saves time.

That's great! :-) Didn't see a need to make the same MISTAKE the other site made!

Superb....next question is this...is there a plugin that will allow our images to be displayed randomly on our websites directly from our DT portfolio?

Very interesting from both sides. As someone who uses Wordpress and also a contributor, I'm curious to see what will happen.

To clarify this, the bloggers download images as if they were on Dreamstime.com.
This plugin is just a shortcut to our site.

They can choose from both commercial images and the free section.

I think this plugin is really good for bloggers because it will certainly save time when writing posts. And hopefully for photographers it should also equal more sales over time.

If you are interested Malinash I have written a review of the plugin, which you can read here: http://www.freestockimages.net/dreamstime-wordpress-plugin-review-guide/

Hope the plugin gets lots of downloads :)

I downloaded the plugin yesterday and installed it. I can log in and see the photos but it would not let me scroll down to select a price or click on the download button. I tried another theme but it did the same thing.

This is good news in my book. Proof that this sort of embedding can be done legally and fairly. Great marketing and site promotion and a win/win for everyone.

Would expect nothing less from Dreamstime who have always been fair and above-board with contributors.

Bravo!

Nice work!

Of course being curious, I've downloaded the plugin to my wordpress web straight away to test it out. Generally I am impressed as it seems to make using the images from the website simple, quick.

Since you can use images from your lightboxes I think it would be useful, if you could also safe images you are looking through in the plugin to a lightbox. Especially, when you need to create or log in to your dreamstime account anyway...
Also, it would be nice, if you could use your personal images for free download (for those who also sell their images). That would in my opinion add an useful tool to all of us, who would like to use the plugin for the promotion of their own portfolios + easy integration of affiliate links.

And also the initial article is a bit confusing. It looks like, you can use images for free on the blog for a promotion after the first read (at least for me and seems from the other members reactions, that I'm not alone). When I finished reading I almost thought, DT went the same way as "G....Y", who recently shared millions of images for "free" use with all world.... Anyway, glad to find out, this is not the case. But rather nice and well designed plugin :-)

Thank you for testing it and for your feedback. Also, thanks for your suggestion, we are currently working on this tool. Soon, our contributors will be able to use their own images in this way.
