Feel the blood running through your veins because your first image just got accepted? Feel like this little step is a huge leap forward in your photography career and want to share a champagne with everyone on Dreamstime's boards?
Now you can do this in this thread and only here, in order to avoid interphering with older members who celebrate less nowadays.

this is great.... well done Achilles.... my message is i'm happy that now i am more motivated and commited to my photographic passion and at least i believe i am moving the correct direction in stock photography...

Hi everybody, I have just achieved my next milestone, which is 1K images in my portfolio, It took me a year and 3 months but I did it. So happy , Thanks DT reviewers for your nice and hard work. And designers: come and get them. there is plenty to choose from.
My next goal: to get on this prestigeous Top Contributors list. It won't be easy, I know, but watch out there, I'm coming for you!

I made the mistake of thinking that the images I was shooting were technically proficient enough and stock oriented enough that I would get accepted, but to no avail. My acceptance ratio, I am embarassed to say, was about 10%. I have upgraded my equipment a bit and my skill alot and now have an acceptance around 90%. I hope that my DL's are proportional to my acceptance ratio!!! I really need some more photographic equipment!

Yes, exciting! I had my first 5 out of 8 images approved, and quickly had a download! I see that people and studio shots/isolated objects sell better than nature, and I have been learning studio lighting, so I anxious to keep submitting.
Also, it's great to see people with massive portfolios, and equally impressive downloads.

Congrats!! That was my favorite milestone! It is so rewarding when all your hard work starts to pay off! You know what they say! The second check always comes faster than the first. :) |
