Ok Santa,

Here is what I want for Christmas...

For the Camera, I would like the following

1. Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM Lens

2. Canon EF17-40mm f/4L USM Lens

3. Digital Lighting Kit (like a Lowel 2 Omni)

For the Computer

1. Upgrade to Mac OS X

2. Upgrade to PhotoShop CS

2. The latest Final Cut Pro software

3. PhotoShop Training at Home System (Maybe something by Dave Cross or Scott Kelby)

4. Epson Perfection 4870 Pro Printer

5. DVD Read/Write/Burn

With these toys I'd be shooting and editing 24 hours a day.

Thanks Santa!

Best wishes

Here's the new 'permanent' contest, that can be related to this thread. Make sure you add your input in this thread in order to allow us to fulfill your wish. Ofcourse, you still have to upload images, but this is already overwhelming so I am not worried on this part :)

On my wish list outside of reason: a 1Ds MarkII and a 500MM L lens with side mount tripod head and of course a new hard disk on which to store all those huge images. :)

I already posted one list but of course I want MORE! I must have a LL RUE photo blind as it is a lot cheaper than a good 500mm prime lens.

It's that time of the year again, so I am raising this thread back from the dead...

If any of you have some gadgets that you desire and can be awarded using our milestones, please post them here. Note that the milestones are more and more frequent so we cannot award a Mark II weekly :))

well, i have to say that i just went on a splurge. took an adventure to panama, central america and bought the following:

sony compact notebook, nikon 7900, velbon super light/compact/feature packed tripoc #ultra luxi i F.

fortunately i had the 7900 with me as my nikon d70 developed the blinking green flash of death just four days into my trip so i had to learn all the fantastic features of the 7900 quickly. for a baby camera it has various metering (matrix, spot, center) and a whole variety of scenes which almost make it function manually.

but now for my wish list: super wide zoom for slr digi in the range of 10-20mm or 11-20mm.

macro tamron 90mm (on webking's recommendation!) for a lot of the product/food work i am doing now.

possibly a nikon 8800 or 8700 with wide angle adapter. this would be for travelling in order to leave the soon to be repaired d70 home.

in fact, i am off on another adventure to vietnam/cambodia before year's end so all the wish list would be very useful. of course i will return with dozens of additions to my portfolio.
Complete professional commercial studio.
