I have just started learning adobe illustrator and creating illustrations.
when I go to save the illustrator file as eps the final file is sometimes overwhelmingly large in size like 40-50 mb... How can I remedy this problem. how can I keep the eps file sizes managable?
thank you for your answers in advance

If the file is just line work then the eps should'nt be too large but if you are importing photo images etc into the illustrator file then this will of course make the file larger. What is the width and height of the file you are saving and does it have any images in it?

you may wanna check the resolution
it must be 72 dpi and pixel/inch

probably yours are pixel cm and 300 dpi
that would make file enormous:)))))
