Should'be possible for DT staff provide a "press" credit in order a DT photographer access at events such sports, music live, teathre and so on ?

Wouldn't this be a liability issue for DT?. After all if a photographer does damage to
property, persons, or acts in any way inappropriately. Would DT be liable since the
pass was issued by them, and does the photographer become a representative, or Agent of DT?
Criminal behavior would be the photographers personal responsibility. However,
would DT be responsible for any "civil suits"?
Another question I have is: Are we not acting as "Free Lance" photographers?
Or are we in fact employed by DT? (I doubt the latter)
