I guessed most of the designers or buyers are from western countries.
What do you think?

Yes i think that too. Most of the pictures have a very "american" touch. That means the specific picture language of the USA. In other parts of the world like europe or asia the designers have another look and other wishes. When im looking what european agencies offers i can see a big difference in colours and picture language. So its normal that DT sells the pics especially in the north-american part of the world.

I've had buyers contact me to let me know how my images are being used and I have had contact from people from Australia, Ireland, England and USA so the buyers are pretty wide spread :)

I've noticed that sales seem to come in waves: one wave as Europe gets to work and another as the US does. However, I think to some extent buyers come from your own culture, because the things you photograph and the way you see them reflect cultural differences.
It is an interesting subject.

I google my actual name and my username and also one of the sites I upload to tells you who the buyer is. i have also recently registered with http://tineye.com/login where if you upload the url of an image they trace where it is being used on the web. I have found lots of uses in the last couple of days. It's really quick easy and fun. If you look at this thread http://www.dreamstime.com/thread_9988 you will see that Paha_l has found a possible misuse of one of his images using tineye and I found one of my images also on the site.
Sometimes thoughtful buyers let me know where they have used my images and I have even been sent magazines but the most fun way is when you just open a magazine or newspaper and unexpectantly find one.
Good luck with finding some of yours.
Regards Mandy

I think not only the western countries, the Asian countries also will use these pictures. The country where Asia speaks English has much too, mainly still read the use of the picture.

You can have a small idea about the country by checking the hour of the sale. Last 2 years I sold just during the night, now it's during all the day and night....

@ Uodegas
When i watch pictures in american agencies i have the idea they like more colored and with stronger colors like european agencies. But you can find that also between different European countries. The latin countries (Italy Spain etc.) Like it more colorful. you can watch that too how people is wearing. Here in Switzerland where i live people are often wearing in gray, brown or other dark clothes. In Spain where im often, the clouthes are more colorful and also elder people (like me :-)))) ) are wearing so. Its naturally that difference you will find also in the picture language of that countries.
