The spire belong of one of the most important landmarks of Amsterdam, The Netherlands - Zuiderkerk, the first protestant church of the city build in 1603 after the designs of Hendrick de Keyser. The tower of the curch is caught at twilight time from a brige crossing the quiet Groenbrugwal canal, the same angle as a famous painting of Claude Monet. The church is located very close to the house of another famous painter, Rembrandt and is the place where few of his children were burried. Zuiderkerk is however not used as a church since 1929.
