Another Blog on Models :)

We seem to do fairly well with the various friends that model with us. But we are starting to come to a very interesting discovery... The models that seem to sell best for us are US...

I've always liked having my pictures taken, so it's a given for me to be in front of the camera. But Robert, like most photographers, was TOTALLY CONVINCED that he had a face for radio :) But then, after a week of rejected images and really slow sales, we became inspired to do something a little different.

We started with this series, Hard Life. Robert is normally clean shaven and bald, but with winter upon us, he grew out his hair. He made the perfect character for what we were trying to portray. About two hours into the shoot, we decided to take a break. I went back to keywording images and he took a shower.

I about fell out of my chair when he yelled from the bathroom, "Honey, I have an idea!" and came out completely bald. We quickly searched out images on several sites to see if we were beating a dead horse, and came up pretty clean, so we went for it. What came next was the Twisted series. It's very dramatic, and he's built for that kind of tension images :)

The question remains, why do images of the 2 of us outsell all the other images of our other models across the board? Maybe because when we are shooting us, we're working concepts, and we work it until we're happy with it, that's my only guess.

We're still working with models, we've got someone scheduled for tomorrow, in fact :)

Aww, no, that's a nod to our model, Kae. She's the one with those beautiful eyes :) Mine are just brown :)

Ahhh, now I know who has those beautiful eyes!

I'm sure there is a level of trust and intimacy between the two of you that comes through in the photos - and wouldn't exist in a model/photog relationship. The nude pose is magnificent - full of emotion. Keep shooting!
