Recently, Firefox has had it’s 500 Millionth download (yes, that’s 500.000.000, or half a billion!). As a token of appreciation, and celebration, they decided to donate one grain of rice for every download to the World Food Program.Not only do I find this gesture rather noble, I’ve had the opportunity to do some work for the WFP back in 2004 after the Bam Earthquake in Iran, and I’ve seen with my own eyes how difficult and important their work is.
