Today I received the news that I have reached 250 sales. Very good news especially when the image is a new one to sell, this is the image, Many of my images which sell are the food images, so I am particularly pleased with this sales as it widens my portfolio exposure. continue reading

Good end to the year

This year has ended on a good note. Widen the portfolio exposure.

It is always good to have an image which sells well, such as this banana bread picture which has now reached level 4 But it is also good when a new image sells which widens the exposure of your image portfolio, such as this raw salmon picture, This image was taken nearly a year ago, with some images it is just a case of patients, if it is a good picture someone will want to use it eventually. continue reading

Spontaneous photography

As someone who concentrates on food photography I often have to plan the foods I need for each photo shoot, such as for this fish finger image. However sometimes it is necessary to make a spontaneous choice. On a recent visit to the local supermarket lobster was on promotion, this was an opportunity too good to miss. WOW what a sale

Like many of you, I regularly check my sales. On most occasions I read with pleasure a sale of one of my food images such as, for $0.25, which gives me a sense of pride.Imagine my surprise and joy when I looked at my sales to see a sale of $3.75 for one of my images of Birmingham library. Hopefully this will lead to an increase in sales of my architectural images. continue reading

200 sales

Great news! My sales have just reached 200. Although I have uploaded a wider range of images a number of which are selling slowly at level 1, two of my images are generating the greatest number of sales. By far the most popular is a picture of banana loaf and its constituent ingredients, which is now at level 4. Coming second in my list of highest sales is a picture of bowls of olives with rosemary sprigs. Other images are rising up the sales ratings but these are my most popular. Competition entry

In 2015 I entered a competition for the British Ordnance Survey to provide an image for one of their new maps of the British Isles.When I first submitted my entry I checked regularly to see if there were any signs of my entry progressing, but after two months I gave up. Was it worth entering was in my mind? This month I have just achieved my sales target of $10!I tend to concentrate on food photography but enjoy taking photographs of a wide range of interesting subjects.
