Flags about wrong keywords - whose responsibility is it

Just a general idea about flags for wrong keywords...I have no beef with self policing policies but I do ask a question...whose resposibility should it be for the results of these flags...I will elaborate...I have been flagged twice...once for the word CRAPS in relation to the dice game that is played in all casinos...and again, for the word CLOTHESLINE, in relation to a typical spare in ten pin bowling.A quick google or wiki will show that both terms are correctly used for the particular public... continue reading

Milestones galore

Another milestone for me. Two hundred images uploaded since I started in DT. I have no idea of how to interpret the performance figures but I understand that it is a middle to long term project...very diffictult to go viral...as sometime happens on the web.One of these two images is the lucky winner of that title...Once again, a big hand for the buyers...who would we be without you, for the Admin wallahs, reviewers et al. and not least, the extended DT community with its spirit of sharing.... continue reading

Strange links, has this happened to anybody else?

I was investigating SEO by reading some very good articles in the blogs of the DT community, specifically this articleby Aleksandar Horvat's Blog, which I recommend highly...I did a Google search for one of my imagesTo my surprise, it came up quite high on the Google page, but I didn't recognize the page. While it is nice to see an image of mine floating around in the great morass of Google, can anybody explain, in a little more detail, what are the arrangements? The image... continue reading

First TIFF sale, never thought it would happen

Amazing, I wish I knew the algorythm that they use for increasing file size with no loss of quality, but I am not complaining...I wish I could see how it was used..the full shebang..11 creditsThanks to the buyers and Happy Easter to all... continue reading

My first Level 2 image...many thanks

Funny how things are not always what they appear to be...A chain is associated with repression and security but we forget the value of the links...links in a chain of events that move images up the chain from Level 1 etc...So my first Level 2 image is a link to the future. I, too, am grateful to the extended DT community for the sense of belonging and support...and many thanks to the buyers...without you, who are we...In fact, we are all links in the same chain...from strength to strength continue reading

Opening ANOTHER but friendly blog about similars

I´d like to investigate with the user community, the contributor community and the admininistrative community, the ideas / confusion that surround the concept of similars.I can only reflect on my own confusion, as a creator on concepts and images, at the ambiguity that exists. To try and illustrate, from my own perspective again, I will offer and example:BIG EARS splitSTRIKEThis is a series about ten pin bowling. There is an ample community of ten pin... continue reading

The ultimate in refusals, a Free image rejection...

I am a bit confused. I researched how to upload a couple of images to the Free section. I followed the instructions to upload by activating the option, that if an image is not approved for my portfolio, it could go to the Free section.  This is a similar image, because the system does not permit me to upload rejected images...These are the images IDs of the rejected images ...#18736558 and #18736567in my Rejection section (so I cannot publish the images) First and foremost,... continue reading

Action writing in PS, Easier post-processing

Hi all,Its very early in the morning, so a cup of coffee is in order. In the spirit of DT, I would like to make myself available, for any help that I can, about doubts with Actions in PS.Definition of an Action in Photoshop:The ability to record a series of steps or processes that are used repeatedly. These actions are kept available for reuse in the Actions palette.A very simple example:My folders are: Work in Process / Finals / UploadsIn my workflow,I am post-processing... continue reading

Getting started

From what I see, people just let it all hang out. So here goes. I am trying to undrstand the DT experience. Not really very good at it but anyway...People inform of their first this and their first that...So my first collection is up..don´t really know what for but if you want to comment I would love to hear...How do people react to these things...I submitted two Free images to see how that works.. can't show any images because they have not been published yet.Anyway, thank for... continue reading
