As the temperatures outside turn cooler, there is initially a burst of warm, sometimes hyper vibrant colors that excite the internal soul, reminding one to experience and bring close, integrate one's experience with, all that is of the heat and the life of the growing and harvest seasons... inviting us to appreciate and collect what souvenirs we can from the summer, gather them close and into our homes to "fuel up" for the long, cold, and darker winter months with a burst of energizing flame that... continue reading

Spring is coming to the northern hemisphere, and with it, the farmer's markets will soon return in abundance. I'm so excited to be able to go out wander the markets, and the farms, and the roadside stands in the sunshine again collecting a rainbow of tempting and delicious fruits and vegetables, and to plan my meals around the fresh, locally grown produce in the prettiest and most vibrant colors that catch my eye and inspire the appetite. The lively shapes and textures and aromas are so... continue reading
As an east coast girl (USA), one of my very favorite places within a few hours driving distance to go play around for a day is New York City. There's no other place like it, I'm sure, and I have the most amazing time whenever I go there. It's been nearly a year since I last had the chance to get up there, and right now every fiber of my being is aching for a spare day and a good buddy free on the same day, to get our butts up to the "big apple".I'm sure many others can relate. One day soon, I'... continue reading
This is a milestone blog for me and I am silly, giddy, ridiculous happy. You'd think I won a gigantic lottery jackpot and my own private island, and figured how to manifest world peace, I'm so pleased with myself. You see, after a little more than three years, my earnings balance finally reached payout level, and in the most bizarre and enlightening of ways for me. I am growing!Just over three weeks ago, I was having a rough time in life, and had been, for a couple of months, actually. It... continue reading
Back in November, I took a trip to Miami, Florida, and had a wonderful time. I walked the beaches, and rode a bicycle around town and shopped, and took tons of photos, and watched the surfers shredding the waves, and ate foods that are more common down there, than they are up where I live. Fresh fruit smoothies every day. Etc. I saw Key Lime Pie on every dessert menu, though I did not eat any while I was down there. Perhaps on my next trip south, I may try some. Back home in Maryland, I saw this particular... continue reading
Well, after a very long learning process, which of course continues to continue ;) I logged onto Dreamstime today to find a little surprise -Overnight the images I had in the queue werereviewed and finally next to word "Uploads" on my profile page, I see three digits instead of two! At last, 100 sucessful uploads!I believe I will find time to celebrate this achievement today by listening to some great music and working on the photos I took on a trip to New York City yesterday.Right now... continue reading
First of all, Happy New year to everyone. I Know, I know, we are like almost 3 weeks into it already, but I haven't blogged yet this year, so there :)My 2011 here at DTwas much better than my 2010, as I finally started to learn a lot more, get approved a lot more, and sell a bit more. I also got a new camera late in the year, which has really helped. I achieved my first Level 3 image, which was exciting :) Hooray for Coffee!I continued to add to my Fresh Vegetables Collection. Here is... continue reading
So Wednesday of this week, my friend and I boarded a Megabus, and traveled to NYC for the day, just to play "hooky", enjoy a change of scenery, and some beverages and food, and do some photography.I had no idea that thousands of discontent Americans had been organizing a massive protest in New York, near the Stock Exchange on Wall Street, to air their complaints, and make it known thatthere are in fact, citizens of this country who are motivated and concerned enough about their uncertain future,... continue reading
I am happy to finally report that with these two approvals todayI have passed the 50 images mark. In fact, my humble little DT portfolio now has 51 images, as of this posting! I am at least as gleeful as my progress has been SLOWWWWWW, lol!Now here's hoping I've learned enough to reach my first 100 so much faster! Cheers to you all on your journeys - I'll toast you with a glass of pretty pink wine at happy hour tonight! continue reading
So, the other week my parents were coming up to visit and I really needed to get the house a little cleaner, bake some muffins, make some ice tea, etc. Basically I needed to organize some things, and generally run around spastically, doing random frantic things in the usual attempt to try to fool my parents into believing I am a lot less disorganized than I actually am. In all this hub-bub, I realized there wouldn't be much time for a couple of days to play with my camera, do much experimenting, or... continue reading
