Consequently the 5th richest country in the world and second richest in Europe has chosen togamble with its future. An image approved today sums up unlocking BREXIT, in other words understanding the significance... continue reading

$10,000 earned to date: lessons learned

In May 2009 I joined DT after meeting another photographer who said he earned $480 per month on micro stock sites. It was sometime after I joined before I knew what I was doing.................... even now there's much to learn. The feedback from editors is probably the most valuable aspect of micro stock. If you listen and learn your photography should improve.I made so many mistakes to start with submitting too many images and damaging for ever my acceptance ratio. Thinking landscape was more... continue reading

Gordon Brown: best speech ever!

Until today I wasn't a fan of Gordon Brown.but tonight he gave the finest speech in favour of keeping Scotland in the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland . He pointed out the many ways we are better and stronger together and the miserable arguments of nationalism which are like a ' cock strutting on a dunghill '.Nationalism is about greed; ' it's our oil ' :Gordon Brown spoke passionately about the creation of the national health service free at the point of need.He... continue reading

Alex Salmond says they'd continue to use the pound. Some say 'yes' as in the flower of ScotlandOthers say that common sense will prevail and it will be say no to divorcePray for the UK to be better together on Friday morning... continue reading

Gardening tip

Most folk in Europe who own a house will have a garden and if owners are like me they want a striped lawn.Unfortunately dandelions grow as weeds in lawns and in Springtime proliferate. They seeds are vector borne.I discovered some 2 years ago the Supermarket Lidl stocked weed removersand here is a shot of a dandelion being removed by my wife.So far this Spring my wife has removed over 500 dandelions which if left in the ground would have multiplied to thousands later in the Summer.... continue reading

Take your camera on business trips

I had a meeting in Edinburgh last week and two or three hours in the afternoon free before the bus left for Inverness. It was a lovely afternoon when the sun shone.I took an image of the new trams closeup while they were still undergoing test runs down Princes Street and with a tram, buses and taxi alongside. The trams have so far cost a staggering £760 million. Already it is claimed that the tram lines cause accidents to cyclists. The trams in Bradford in North of England were removed about... continue reading
