After last month’s disappointments, March has been rather good. Starting off with the Vicious Kittens calendar shoot in my studio. VK is web page set up by Pixie SuicideA group of Alternative female models handpicked for their beauty and individuality, I had worked with most of the models before, but also had assistance from Kim who is doing her degree in photography. The theme was “cyber”, so plenty of bright colours, I set up the “operating table” and the girls took turns in being the... continue reading
Happy New Year!!!Into 2012, lousy end to 2011… had to work over Xmas in my full time job, and then my daughter was taken into hospital with abdominal pains that turned out to be a badly inflamed appendix! These were 96" wide (double width bolt) lengths of black fabric from a local shop.I also aquired the end of a roll of 2.5m white clay-coated... continue reading
After one of the worst summers in the UK for 20 years, getting stressed out at work in the office.I was glad to be able to get away on holiday for a couple of weeks to the Greek Island of Zante with my family. The weather was fantastic, clear blue skies (the odd white cloud to break up the monotomy) plenty of sea, sun, sand and stifado. It was great just to wander along the beach (with camera at the ready) watching the world go by. Catching the odd photo now and again. As my daughter is studying... continue reading
