What happened to my sold image?

I was very excited yesterday about getting a big sale on my one and only Level 5 image. Yeah! But when I went online today that sale was no longer there and neither is my $9.42 earnings. I can't find any info on here about what may have happened. Anyone? continue reading

Just donated a portion of my earnings to Unicef

I donate several times a year to Unicef, usually in response to a crisis, and I just made another donation today to help the children dying due to a major drought in the Horn of Africa. It was a no-brainer, since I just got a notification that my most recent payment from Dreamstime just posted to my PayPal account. To me, my Dreamstime earnings are like free money, since I don't have to do anything to get it. I don't really add to my portfolio, it just keeps selling on it's own, and I just request... continue reading

Just 84¢ away from my second $100 paycheck!

It took me a year and a half to earn my first $100 on Dreamstime, with a small, 30-image portfolio (all illustrations). I've only added two images since then but most of my images are level 2 and higher. This time around, it will only have taken me 6 months to earn that $100. If I keep going at this rate, I can earn the next $100 in 3 months! Yeah! Getting paid is so exciting! My most popular imageMy second best sellerI recently purchased a Canon t2i camera and once I learn how to... continue reading

Dreamstime has larger comp images

I am a contributor as well as a customer. One of the benefits of using Dreamstime is the nice, large comp images they provide. It is very helpful. As a graphic designer, I frequently download comp images to see if they will work in my layout before I make a purchase. On the other stock site that I use, their comp images are so tiny, it's hard to tell if I like the image or not. I have to show my client the mock-up before I buy the image and if it looks all bit-mapped and low-res, it can be hard... continue reading

$100 - Oh so close!

I am only $1.39 away from my big, fat $100 check. I have been a contributor on Dreamstime for a year and a half, slowly selling my illustrations and backgrounds. My portfolio is small - 30 images, and 116 sales. As a busy mom with a full-time job, it's hard to find the time to add to my portfolio. I'm hoping my Halloween-themed images will get some sales soon and I can get my first check. continue reading

Wine Photography

Having worked in the wine industry for a number of years, I am constantly searching for good wine stock photography. We are fortunate to hire professional photographers for many projects, but when the budget does not allow this, I turn to stock photography. I usually turn to traditional more expensive stock phtography, not microstock to find what I need. I'd love to find better images here on Dreamstime. The images I need the most are glasses of wine and food shots with glasses of wine. I create... continue reading
