An Old Camera And A Cheap Lens

"Give me a lever and a place to stand and I will move the earth" -ArchimedesCan we do the same with an "old" camera and "cheap" lens in our world? Surely we can because even the cheapest materials that produced today is much more efficient than in the past and we are lucky about this.Legendary photographer Ansel Adams did his best with tools that already in their disposal and then moved on to using better ones.He said "any good modern lens is corrected... continue reading

Concept Of Carrying A Camera Everywhere You Go

I heard this from Jay Maisel centuries ago. And I'm trying to do it even its a hustle - since I carry my camera in a shoulder bag and advantage of living in a small town, no one approached to say "you can't take photos here!"... They mostly like to think that I'm a journalist. I've even took shots inside of grocery stores.  But I feel that a range finder type of camera would be much better choice than a big heavy dSLR.  On the other hand snapshots of course doesn't cut it. I'm... continue reading

Ancient City Ruins In Desert Landscapes

As a science fiction fan since I was a little kid - the most impressive moment for me in a story was always the moment we come across with bits and pieces of evidence that there was once a great civilization there.  Gigantic city ruins on the horizon of a distant planet is an idea that gives me the chills every time I think about it. Beholding the signs of an unknown civilization is exciting and inspiring.  Desert with its majestic vastness reminds me the ocean and space - and... continue reading

Grocery Store Interiors

My adventure in photography getting a bit more wider since I accepted the truth that I have the obligation of carrying a camera with me where ever I go. This is relatively freeing because I don't have to make plans to go out shooting anymore - since I have my camera with me I'm always out shooting when I go out. This makes possible to me to take photography inside of grocery stores in the small town I'm living. Best part of living in a place like this that people are (at least... continue reading

My Love Affair With Mustang

Many centuries ago when I was a teenager I was a total car freak. I had many favorites and having one of them would be a dream come true.In time I slowed down but the fire within is smoldering and only car I truly love came down into one which is Ford's legendary car Mustang. No matter how many amazing cars I've seen - when I see a Mustang, my heart suddenly fills with love and admiration to it.These images are the result of my love to these cars. I've made my own Mustang illustrations eventually... continue reading

We Are Stars

Just like the nature; universe inspires, influences and amazes me since I was a little kid. Lately the only thing makes me sad is that it seems not possible to see other worlds, great civilizations in distant planets with our own two eyes. Universe is expanding and galaxies having even more distance each other - and even in this situation, there are billions and billions galaxies out there with mind blowing amount of possibility on the richness of life. All I can do as a creative person is trying... continue reading

Editor's Choice

Thank you for the opportunity to announce that my work Young Women On Meadow Sunset recognized as the editor's choice. It is good to know that the hard work and time I'm putting on my illustrations is appreciated. I'm honored, flattered and humbled.   I also like to share my previous work that earned Editor's Choice which I didn't bloged about. Castle In The Night is also result of a hard work - its actually fourth version of the same matte painting study after lots of trial and error... continue reading

Other worlds

The worlds I'm seeing with my mind's alien eyes - reflections of my imagination about the possibilities in our vast Universe. In both observable and unknown parts - perhaps in other dimensions. Where life took different shapes and forms. Blended with planet's nature and civilization's mind bending technologies. And the endless paths to the most distant horizons. Thinking and day dreaming about all these... continue reading

Daily Render Projects

This concept of finishing a project daily and rendering it out without over thinking or over judging yourself is by far the best idea I've seen since first day I started interesting in digital art.     "One render a day keeps the artist block away" will not be a bold statement since its ease your way out to focus on creating something new everyday without getting bored or overwhelmed too much. It gives you freedom to move on, saves you from the fear of being criticized,... continue reading
