The learning curve has been long and hard......

Whew!!!Well, I have been in Dreamstime as a stock contributor now for 4 1/2 years. I have finally just now had 2000 images accepted!!The learning curve has been long and hard (my acceptance percentage is coming out of the toilet a little dab) and I still have MUCH to learn. I TRY to have a diverse portfolio but I just can't seem to conquer the success of taking pictures of SOME things.....like....sunsets or flowers. I wish i could, because there are some people out there that take some really... continue reading

A question re content...need your opinion please.

I have a question to anyone who has an opinion please.Out of my 162 uploads, only 44 of them DON'T have people in them.(they all have model releases attached). How are people pictures selling, or should I add more diversity of places, or things to my portfolio?I currently have 26 different models so they are not all of the same person, or "kind" of persons. (altho most of them are of children)Are there contributors that only submit pictures with people?I would love to hear what kind of... continue reading

I have a question re images of old cars.

Could anyone tell me what the rules are when taking pictures of old cars?I see on DT everything, some with the name/kind of car and some without. What exactly should I be concerned with when submitting photos of cars, boats, etc.Thank you for your help.(this picture has nothing to do with my question) continue reading

Easy way to find your sold images......

FYIThere is a new EASY way to find out where your "Sold" images are.It is a new little program by Google called "Google Images".It is free to download, then you just right click on one of your images that has sold, and google goes out to find it.My son found TONS (about 15) of his images in about 15 minutes and sent me links to them all.It is glorious to see my grandson on a dental advertisement in Los Vegas, and my son in a Welding promotion, and .......well I digress. You get my point.... continue reading

......tryin free, we'll see.

Well, I took the leap and clicked the "ok to offer free if not accepted" button on my submit page, and wa-la, suddenly there were 4 free pictures offered by me.And, since I am only 3 months old, I still don't really know what I am doing, so most of this is experimental.I see some pros/cons offered by other contributors but I really don't know what to think....I guess we will find out. So much to learn...such a tall hill to climb, but I sure am having a great time!! Next step: to see if I want... continue reading
