I have accomplished my latest goal on DT and have reached 500 sales. It's taken a while because of my small portfolio, but I'm happy that I have finally reached it. This morning I discovered that I had made my first 50 credit TIFF sale. That was an eye opener when you are used to seeing subscription sales. So needless to say, I'm very pleased. Now, like the greedy child at Christmas, I want more of those. :) Below is my successful image. continue reading
I was pleasantly surprised this morning to discover that one of myeditorial images had sold overnight. It was approved on June 1 and sold for 50 credits which added $25.37 to my account. I don't know if this is normal for an editorial image because this is my first sale of one. At any rate, I am happy about it. I've been involved in photography as a hobbyist for 40 years and as a crime scene photographer for 25. My wife is my biggest fan and when I retired, she encouraged me to try to sell some of my photography. (I think she was just trying to get me out of the house) I didn't want my hobby to become like another job, so I got involved in stock photography with Dreamstime in December, 2009.
