Just today I hit the 100 uploads point, I actually went over at 105.Here are a couple of my latest images.Any feedback would be appreciated. There are 2 things that have made a difference for getting more pictures approved and increasing my approval ratio.1.Learning how to shoot stock photography.Reading the blogs and tutorials online, and learning what makes a good stock photo.2.Upgrading my camera.I sold my older Sony DSC-F828 8.1 megapixel camera and replaced... continue reading

I live in Northwest Washington State, in the United States of America.I am just a few miles south of the US/Canada border. There are many beautiful areas to shoot photos. This first one was shot on Patos Island in the San Juan Islands, just west of where I live. This is Mt Shuksan in the Mount Baker Ski Area, just east of where I live.....And there are some that are not so beautiful, but still make great photos.I hope that someone can use these refinery photos.... continue reading
I have to admit that my acceptance ratio hit a low of 40%.It was around that point that I decided to purchase a new camera.I am happy to report that since I started shooting with the new Canon 40d that my acceptance ratio has been improving nicely. Now up to 46% and rising on every image that I submit. Here is my latest accepted image.Over the years, every time that I upgrade to a new camera, I realize how much of an improvement the new camera was. Here is a short... continue reading

I just returned from a 9 day vacation in Winthrop in the North Cascade Mountains in Washington state. It was a busy week with mountain biking, fishing, wakeboarding, swimming and boating, but I did have some time to shootphotos.Winthrop is an interesting town, once my recently submitted photos are approved you will be able to see this. The town is an old west setting, everything in the city limits has the old west theme. The town is very busy during the day, but if you go there at the crack... continue reading
I have been using a Sony DSC-F828 for the last 3 years.I have finally had it with too many photos being rejected due to the the purple fringing, and the chromatic aberrations. So I decided to sell it on eBay for it went for more than I expected ($385 US).My new camera is a Canon EOS 40D.I have had it for only a couple days, but I am so happy with it.It is great to have a real SLR again.Plus the live view feature is great when your camera is hooked up to a computer.I hope that this... continue reading
