Living in Australia provides some great opportunities to take wildlife photos. There is a location close by that has loads of Koala's. I must have a thousand photos but they are all looking up and the sky is overblown.We had guests a few weeks ago and we went to show them the Koala's. I said to my self that the mission of the day was to get a photo that I could upload and get accepted. Finally I got the shot, it has been accepted. After being a member of Dreamstime for about a year and a half I haven't really put much effort into my portfolio, I keep planning to come back and make an effort but when I do take some photos I don't think they are technically good enough and I don't want to destroy my acceptance ratio.I think a lot of time it is a lack of inspiration, I don't want to upload photos that there are hundreds of. As I have a really small portfolio I have decided to take my camera to any local events and hopefully build up my portfolio with some editorial photos.They might not sell as well as more stock orientated photos but hopefully I will eventually get some sales.The latest are from a Horse race that was held on Australia day. continue reading
I recently went to a custom car and rockabilly event. I took my camera to try and get a few photos to upload here as I thought it would be a great opportunity even if they are to be sold as editorial.I tried uploading a few but only got one approved after resubmitting, there was not enough information in the description. The others had technical problems.So I still have a lot of learning to do but at least I now know what is required for the editorial description. so something positive. continue reading
