21,000+ sales after 4 years at DT

Wow, where does the time go? It was May 5, 2009 when I joined Dreamstime. It was October of 2010 when I last updated my sales. At that time, I had 4653 images with 8500 sales, which I think was pretty good for the first 18 months here at DT.Fast-forward 2 1/2 more years and here we are. I now have 6270 images online with 21712 sales.I've only added 1617 new images these past 30 months, so it's obvious that I have not been drawing as much as I used to.My other client work has taken me away... continue reading

Venice Beach

A couple weeks ago, I went to Venice Beach to take over 1,000 photographs, hoping for some nice gems to create silhouettes from. The one nice thing about silhouettes is that you can create them from ANY situation at ANY place. So, whether it is a amusement park, beach, wedding, or family reunion, I always make sure I have my camera in my pocket so that I can always be ready for the next great shot.Yes, I did say pocket.Fortunately, image "quality" is not important for the shots needed when doing... continue reading

Train Station

A couple weekends ago, I went to pick up our son at the local train station. With camera in hand, I took a few shots and transferred them into illustrations. My favorite shot is this train conductor and passenger. They were talking to each other right in front of the train, so it was a great moment to capture. All in all, I think it was a successful day. continue reading

Trip to Park

I love a day at the park.It was sunny and beautiful.I love just sitting and taking pictures of random things going by.Here we have a mother passing by with her child in a stroller...Then, a couple of backpackers went by...I took many more pictures, but I'm still converting to an illustration.Plus, I just took over 500 photos at Venice Beach this past weekend, so I'm looking forward to the gems that will materialize from that amazing adventure.Stay tuned! continue reading

Marina Del Rey

My first blog entry so hope I publish this correctly.LOL.Last weekend, I attended a pre-wedding event for some friends of ours. The location was in Marina Del Rey, so after the event, with camera in hand, I went to the dock and took a few pictures.First, I saw this sailboat going by, so here is the final product...Then, there was this podium just sitting in this courtyard.Next, I saw this amazing tree!I think it came out great...I believe this is the fun and joy... continue reading
