A Personal Take on Nature Photography

When it comes to nature photography, the more you do it, the more you'll learn about it… and the more peaceful and re-connected with nature you'll become.I'll write this blog based on my personal experiences and in my own personal way :)Researching the location is essential, assessing light is vital, and being there ahead of the intended time is critical. That's why a partner who can be a supportive assistant is part of my modus operandi! My husband is always there to support... continue reading

Special People Photography, Shy Photographer

This might not be useful to many professionals who are comfortable shooting people, but it might give hope to photographers who never were comfortable shooting models like I was, am, & will be!It goes without saying that the first model I ever shot was family, my husband in particular as he's the most patient one. I love him for this among a million other reasons. Shooting family members is neither scary nor embarrassing in any way as photos would always have emotional value if they didn&... continue reading

Ultra Vivid, Ultra Violet

If the color of the year is your favorite color, it should mean that this will be a great year :)Pantone announced 18-3838 Ultra Violet as the Color of the Year 2018. How LOUD and bold and sensational!“The Pantone Color of the Year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.” – Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute.Does Ultra Violet allude to people's desire... continue reading

For a good cause

Having always put aside a % of my stock earnings to animal welfare NGOs, this time is a bit different. I recently got an entry accepted to the assignment, if by any chance it gets to one of the top 3 positions, the prize money will go to BETA :)BETA (Beirut for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is currently going through crisis. I quote:"Our shelter, the only official refuge in the country caring for hundreds of dogs and cats is facing one of its biggest challenges to date: In 10 days, our... continue reading

Surprise Inside?

Have you ever taken a photo and got a surprise inside? Something you were totally unaware of its existence? An unexpected action as soon as the shutter went off?I took this photo a few months ago in Tuscany thinking that it's a cool gloomy photo of the foggy forest. When I downloaded the photos on my computer, here they were: 2 rabbits running towards each other or as I prefer to think romantically gazing into each others' eyes ^_^Here's the link to the post on my page because no idea how... continue reading
