Beats for love 2014: Love, iron and a unique 3 day FREE festival
The same as last year, this year you can also look forward another edition of the dance festival Beats for Love in the Dolni Vitkovice industrial park. It’ll be worth it!
Last year Beats for Love was visited by over 25,000 people and became the biggest dance festival in the Czech Republic. The event took place in an industrial area in the centre of Ostrava and for 3 days this north Moravian city was converted into a huge dance metropolis. 5 musical stages, visitors from all over Europe, and approximately 200 musicians from all over the world. The event played host to DJs such as Olav Basoski, Takaaki Itoh, Patrick DSP, Jamies Irie, Matrix & Futurebound and many more.
The second annual festival will take place 3rd – 5th July 2014 and will offer plenty new. The area will be a third larger, the line-up will be of even higher quality, more relax zones for visitors, much improved light and sound equipment and a great many more non-musical activities.
Also new will be an Electroswing and breakbeat stage and alongside house the festival will also be offering for the first time trance. The Party Village which was unforgettable last year sees the addition this year of electronic live bands. This year the festival will again be supporting the region with the Ostrava & Playa.cz stage. As was the case in the past you can expect musical styles ranging from drum and bass to techno, reggae and house. In negotiation are some of the world’s top DJs.
The concept of the festival remains unchanged with the event staying true to the idea of a free festival. We have again prepared for you lots of stands with refreshments, workshops, sports activities and all visitors are entitled to make use of our Love Camp area for their tents. We care about the environment so again we’ll be offering clip-on cups. Making a debut this year will be a summer cinema and chill out zones on the grass in the middle of the area offering a peaceful oasis and a place for some much needed relaxation. One of the attractions will be a skip-lift which will lift you to the top of furnace 1.
We’re even prepared for the weather! No other festival in central Europe offers covered areas for almost 8000 people – only at Beats for Love!
You can also look forward to the first of this year’s warm-up parties with Kosheen on 28th March in Ostrava’s Bonver arena.
We firmly believe the second annual festival will build upon the success of last year’s event which received praise from visitors and performers alike. You can find news and practical information about the festival at our official website: www.b4l.cz
