What's an Extension/addon???
Most web browsers (the programs you use to browse the Internet, i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari) allow you to extend the functionality of the browser through little programs, called addons or extensions, that run inside the browser.
What the Extension Does
The addon fetches your account statistics and displays them in a speed dial tile. In the background, the addon will periodically (1 minute is the default interval, but you can change it) check your account for any new sales, accepted uploads, or comments. When the extension detects that you've sold an image, had an image accepted, or received a comment, you will be notified as you are browsing Facebook, Twitter, Google, Wikipedia, or whatever site you are visiting.
Why I Made It
My original motivation was to fix my constant visits to Dreamstime to see if I had made sales or gotten comments. I wrote this extension, and since it works so well for me, I wanted to offer it to y'all too in case anyone else finds it of an value to them.
Get It and See It in Action!
Check out this page to download my Dreamstime Stats extension (that is, if you have already installed Opera - it's really easy to install and it won't keep you from still using Firefox, Internet Explorer, or whatever browser you use alongside it).
If you just want to see screenshots of the addon in action, visit that same page. You can see pictures of what it looks like in the speed dial, and what the notifications look like.
If you like it, please let your Dreamstimer friends know about it! If you have suggestions for improvements or you find a bug, please report it here or at the extension's page in the Opera addons catalog.
