Back-Button AF

I found this article by Canon on using their back auto-focus. Very interesting read, I hope others without Canon's DSLR find the article useful.

Back Focus

If you like to lock focus and re-compose your subjects, you’ll find back-button AF very helpful: Once your focus is set, you can move the camera and take as many shots as you like without AF trying to re-focus on what’s now in the center of your picture.

Great article! I actually use that feature a lot when shooting sports. Once I get a decent action shot I'll use the AF button to focus on the field and compose for a nice, clean background and wait for action to come to that spot.

Thanks for the useful information. This should be very useful. Maybe it's time I bothered to read my manual.
