Beware - the dust!

Drawing a picture, I encountered a small problem. My graphic tablet started working disgusting. The cursor moves erratically and at times graphic tablet disconnected completely. I was furious after 15 minutes! Replacing the battery did not help. Reconnect to different terminals usb lead to the same result. Indicator tablet showed interruptions in the voltage usb ports. I remembered that about six months is not cleaned my computer from the accumulated dust, since dust may create a spurious connection in electrical circuit apparatus. Swallowing dust, but perfectly clean computer, I finally hooked up again with a graphics tablet to the usb port and the problem was solved! :) Any disruption in the movement of the cursor on the screen and popping up error messages are no longer there! Regularly clean your electronics from the accumulated dust. This will help you in your work and may help keep your nerves:). Good luck to all!

By the way, the problems were and dusty machine to print photos. Photos were blue. It was not a solution because the photos from the film were excellent but the digital photos come out blue. I will not describe what we have just not tried:)) but after removing the dust from the electronic circuit boards, photos are printed as usual good quality. This is not an isolated incident with this equipment. But the problem was solved after removing the dust. :)

Living in Saudi Arabia (which though I don't know this for sure but I suspect it to be the one of the dustiest countries in the world), I can second your comments about dust. It's enescapable here and there is nothing that one can do to stop it from getting into the house. Being extra vigilant about taking care of your cameras, computers, printers, etc, is a MUST here. I so feel your pain and frustration. :)

Yes dust id enemy number one as far as computers and accesories goes. That is one of the reasons why it is usually adviced to keep them in A/C environment (though that cannot guarantee it to be dust proof)
