My girlfriend works for Éducaloi, a non-profit organization which mission is to inform Quebecers of their rights and obligations by providing quality legal information in everyday language. One day, we were discussing stock photography and she explain to me how difficult it was to find photos of Canadian lawyer to use in their projects. I thought for sure that the subject was well covered in stock photo website, but surprisingly, we couldn’t find onephoto. It’s important to explain that Canadian lawyer, when they go to court, have special attire, unlike their American counter part. The toga and flap is used in other country, but it varies a lot, which mean that photos of lawyer from other country cannot be use to illustrate legal project in canada, something I never really thought off…
With this in mind, my girlfriend offered to bring, for our next shoot, all the proper clothing and a bright red bilingual Criminal Code, that looked very nice. On top of that, we got lucky, one of best model we ever work with, Sarah-Monica, actually call us up to do a concept shoot! With all of these ingredients in place, we were able to do a quick, cool series of photos. Even if the concept is for very niche market, I think it has a lot of potential.
The photo shoot went great, and Sarah-Monica really got into the spirit of things.
